Applied Tensegrity (AT) Course Description

The course is made up of three levels each enhancing a deeper focus and understanding of principles and applications of Tensegrity, literally meaning “tension integrity.” These principles apply directly to the massage profession integrating common techniques in a more complete way, employing truth of the design of fascia throughout the body. Applied Tensegrity (AT) is a model to glimpse the wisdom of how body systems are interconnected.

Massage Therapy course descriptions are below...

see:  Applied Tensegrity (AT) Workshop Schedule

The three course levels are:

Level I: Fascial Hydration / Capillary System
17 CMT Credits

Level I introduces the concepts and principles of AT and stresses the importance of blood flow and fluid movement in congested and hypertoned tissues. Fascial patterns are introduced based on the revolutionary book “Anatomy Trains” by Thomas Meyers.
see www.anatomytrains.net

Note: Workshops may be studied in any order
and there are no prerequisites.

Level II: The Skeleton
17 CMT Credits

Level II demonstrates how combining Neuromuscular Therapy, Muscle Energy with Cranio Sacral touch in the patterns of
Anatomy Trains have a profound healing effect on the body.

The lectures will discuss the principles and applications of each individual technique and then demonstrate them in the context
of AT to show how powerful the response of the body is
when these applications are blended.

Note: Workshops may be studied in any order
and there are no prerequisites.

Level III: Advanced Assessment and Palpation
17 CMT Credits

Level III works with therapists to learn to feel for the regions
of the highest tension, from the AT perspective, and how to apply appropriate pressure in one area to initiate a full body response.

For example, treatment of tensegrity foci in the bicep can help decrease scoliosis and balance pelvic rotations, or treatment of the Achilles tendon can increase cervical ROM in patients with
visceral ailments. This level offers more clinical applications.

Note: Workshops may be studied in any order
and there are no prerequisites.
